Mom's Chocolate Zucchini Cake

2 cups grated zucchini, drained

½ cup butter, softened

1 ¾ cup sugar

½ cup oil

2 eggs

½ cup sour cream

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 ½ cups flour

4 tablespoons cocoa

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon cinnamon

½ teaspoon cloves

1 6-ounce bag of chocolate chips

Beat butter, sugar, oil, eggs, sour cream and vanilla together until smooth. In a separate bowl, mix flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon and cloves. Add flour mixture into the butter mixture and stir just until blended.

Fold in grated zucchini and pour into greased 9’’ by 13’’ cake pan. Bake at 325 degrees Farenheit for 40-45 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over top of cake. Let cool and serve without telling anyone the secret ingredient – see if they can guess!
