What other CSA members are saying . . .

Posted 2/7/2018 10:19am by John and Aimee Good.

Don't you love to read product reviews? I know I do. It can be so helpful to know what other people are saying before you make the commitment to purchase. CSA is no different. This is a season long commitment.

We can tell you that on average 75% of our CSA members come back every year. Studies indicate the national average retention rate for CSA farms is about 50%.       We do have happy members!

Here is what they are saying . . .

"This is the very best CSA I have every been a part of, I can’t thank you enough for the wonderful food and meals our family has had this year because of you."

"This is our first experience with a CSA and it clearly won't be our last.  We thoroughly enjoyed our weekly trips to the farm and actually picking our own food!  We ate much more produce than we expected and experimented with so many different recipes.  Our goal was to live a more healthy lifestyle and to support our local farmers.  I think we accomplished our goal!  We will be back next year and it has been a memorable farm experience for us!  Thank you for being our CSA partner."

"I have enjoyed each and every week, marveling at the beauty and the bounty bestowed upon us and the incredible planning that must go into making all of it so organized and efficient. I am thankful for your very obvious hard work and dedication. Both my husband and I feel better emotionally and physically than we did before the season began, and we attribute that to the quality of food we are eating. I confess to being moved to tears in my time in the fields, it is such a release for me from my regular work.  I hope you know how much we appreciate being part of your CSA."

"I tell everyone all of the time what a bargain this farm share is, and the taste and freshness of your produce is far superior to any of the produce you can find at any grocery store (or even other farm stands that we have visited.) . . . I loved everything that came in the box and what we were able to pick as well. Thank you for everything that you do."

"I am a new member this year, and I could not be happier!  The fruit and vegetables are truly amazing!  The quality is wonderful and they keep so well.  I am a vegetarian so I looove vegetables, but my very most favorite has been all the greens and I am so happy that they return in the fall and I can enjoy them yet again.  The Asian greens were something new to me and they are fantastic!  I have not only been enjoying vegetables every day, but I have plenty that I have been able to store away for the fall and winter.  My freezer has string beans, peas, corn, and some greens, all that will be going into my soup recipes (one of my favorite things to make).  I also have canned several jars of pickled red beets, salsa, a few tomatoes, and applesauce from my fruit share.  And the season is not over yet :)  So I wanted to let you know how so very happy I am that I joined your farm.  My only regret is that I didn't join sooner!   Thank you for all you do!!"

"It's that time of year again and here we are signing up again for the CSA. I think this might be our 8th or 9th year! . . . As I look back to the early years to the present, I see how the CSA has helped us to include eating more fresh vegetables. I am thankful. Now we make wiser choices about what we are eating and have developed better eating habits. Over the years, I can see how it has impacted our overall health, helping us feel and live better! Though we may not say it enough, we appreciate all your hard work and behind the scenes effort that sustains your CSA's success."

Here is a great blog post, My Seasonal Love, written by a CSA member about our farm, which was called Quiet Creek Farm when we were operating on leased land 2006- 2016, before we moved to our home farm and changed our name to The Good Farm in 2017.
